Team
The Advance Healthcare Management Consulting team consists of people who have been longterm involved in analysis of problems of the Czech and Slovak health care systems, and seeking and supporting possible solutions.
MUDr. PAVEL HROBOŇ, M.S.
founder and partner
physician and economist, graduated from the 2nd Medical Faculty of the Charles University in Prague and healthcare management at the Harvard University. He lectures at several faculties of Charles University and the Management Center Innsbruck. He worked for 3 years as a deputy minister of health, responsible for health insurance, medicines and medical devices. He has been a member of the European Health Innovation Leadership Network for several years. From 2002 to 2005, he worked for the General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic as an advisor and head of strategy. From 1998 to 2002, he worked as a consultant for the international consulting firm McKinsey & Company in several European countries on projects in the field of healthcare and financial services.
Mgr. HENRIETA TULEJOVÁ, M.S.
founder and partner
economist, graduated from Masters in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Boston and financial management at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava. At Advance Consulting, she advises on health insurance strategies, teleconsultations, managed care, disease management programs and innovative contracts between health insurance companies and health care providers, e.g. development of DRG contracts, bundled contracts and P4P. For more than 5 years she worked as a manager of the strategic planning department in the Dôvera Health Insurance company. For several years she was a member of reform teams at the Czech and Slovak ministries of health and she was focused on reform of health insurance companies and public health insurance.
MUDr. Ing. DANIEL HODYC, Ph.D.
founder and partner
physician and economist, graduated from the 2nd Medical Faculty of the Charles University in Prague and also in economics, specializing in the management of health services at the University of Economics in Prague. As a consultant at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, in 2007-2009 and 2011-2012 he participated in implementation of the DRG system for reimbursement of acute inpatient care. Currently he is mainly engaged in analyzes and consultancy in the field of evaluation of production of health services, methodology of health care contracting, DRG and analysis of the structure of health services provided to clients of health insurance companies.
PhDr. BLANKA ČERMÁKOVÁ, MHA
Project manager & Data analyst
in 2012 she completed a master’s program at the Institute of Economic Studies of Charles University. During her studies, she was a member of the student working group Public Finance within the National Economic Council of the Government. Since graduating she has been fully dedicated to analytical work in the field of health care. Until 2013, she worked at the Czech Ministry of Health as an analyst in the Health Insurance Supervision Department. In 2014 she graduated from a program focused on management in healthcare. She has been cooperating with Advance Consulting since 2012, focusing mainly on health services production and reimbursements.
Mgr. KRISTÍNA VALLOVÁ, MHA
Data analyst & Project manager
graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at Comenius University in Bratislava, and completed a semester-long residency at the University of Bergen, Norway. She has been working for Advance Consulting since mid-2017 as an analyst. She focuses on analysis and processing of large-volume data sets. She has experience with analysis of data reported to health insurance companies in the fields of outpatient and inpatient care in the Slovak and Czech Republics. She evaluates the impact of payment mechanisms and other ways of influencing behaviour of health care providers.
Mgr. DOMINIKA ŠEBOVÁ, MHA
Analyst & Project manager
graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at Comenius University in Bratislava, and completed a semester-long residency at the University of Ghent, Belgium. She has been working for Advance Consulting since mid-2018 as an analyst. She focuses on analysis of outpatient and inpatient care data in the Czech and Slovak Republics, reimbursement mechanisms of inpatient care and development of mechanisms for measuring quality of inpatient care.
Mgr. MAGDALENA KOLÍNKOVÁ ŠKODOVÁ, MHA
Data analyst & Project manager
In 2020, she obtained her Master diploma in the field of Economy and Finance at the Institute of Economic Studies at Charles University. During her studies, she completed one semester abroad at Utrecht University in Netherlands. She has devoted herself to the field of economics in healthcare already during her studies, her diploma thesis examined models for redistribution of funds among Czech health insurance companies. She has been cooperating with Advance Consulting since 2018 and focuses mainly on processing and analysing data in the field of ambulatory and inpatient care, projects aimed at standardization of care (clinical protocols) and regional hospital strategies.
Ing. VERONIKA KLIMKOVÁ
Analyst & Project manager
She studied International Relations at the University of Economics in Prague, with a specialisation in consulting. She enriched her master's programme with a semester-long study stay in Bergen (Norway). Her main area of interest has long been healthcare, which she dealt with both in her Master’s thesis focused on the digitization of Czech healthcare, and later on specific projects in the technological start-up UNICO.AI and the international consulting firm Deloitte. She also works on an independent project called Initiative for Effective Healthcare. She started working with Advance Consulting in 2022, where she is primarily focused on economic consulting, optimizing the strategy of hospitals in the regions and payment mechanisms.
Ing. MAREK TOMKA
Analyst
In 2024, he completed his studies at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava at the Department of Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry. As part of his master's program in Mathematical and Computational Modeling, his thesis focused on analyzing the impact of the factor 'childhood age' on hospital costs in the Czech Republic using machine learning methods. He has been working with Advance Consulting since 2023 as an analyst, primarily focusing on data preparation and analysis.
